THE CLASSIC STRUGGLE Confirm Drummer's Hospitalization, Seek Donations For Medical Expenses

March 21, 2006

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina-based metal/thrash/hardcore act THE CLASSIC STRUGGLE have confirmed the cancellation of their previously announced U.S. tour with EXODUS and FULL BLOWN CHAOS. The group's official statement on the matter reads as follows:

"THE CLASSIC STRUGGLE regrets that they must cancel the EXODUS/FULL BLOWN CHAOS tour. Several weeks ago their friend and drummer Tyler Solnosky suffered a severe head injury and has been confined to a hospital bed [as BLABBERMOUTH.NETreported yesterday — Ed.]. Tyler is showing signs of recovery, but will remain in the hospital for an indefinite amount of time.

"Not unlike most touring bands, Tyler is without medical insurance and is facing exurbanite medical expenses. The band has set up a PayPal account to collect donations. Please send PayPal donations to [email protected]. The band is also planning a series of benefit shows. More info will be released soon.

"We would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers while Tyler recovers. Sorry about the shows and tour we have to cancel, but it wouldn't be right to leave him right now. Family comes first. We won't be gone for too long. Stay metal."

Replacing THE CLASSIC STRUGGLE on the EXODUS tour are SUBZERO, who will be playing all dates between April 15 and May 19, according to a statement from EXODUS' booking agent.

THE CLASSIC STRUGGLE's debut album, "Feel Like Hell", was released last August via Ironclad Recordings (the label formed by UNEARTH frontman Trevor Phipps).
